Mnakwethu Season 2 (Happily ever after?) Episode 8 Review

Mnakwethu Season 2 Episode 8 Review| When I saw aerial shots, I was surprised that this show has a budget for it. Okay Mnakwethu, nice flex.

Ngiga was teaching his wife to drive because there needs to be a driver back home to take family members to hospital and she will be able to conduct her business better with a car. I like that she’s going to be a businesswoman. The disappointment on their faces when they find out that they are having a girl child, got me triggered. The guy already has 11 boys, a whole soccer squad! This guy just admitted to the whole entire nation that he is hiding assets from his family. Talk about incriminating oneself.

At some point, Zulu men will have to address this problem of only wanting boy children and feeling like a girl is a waste of resources. The root of our #GBV issues lies in this perception of girls and women as subhuman beings of no value.

{For the first 7 years of my life, my parents only had girl children and the whole family and parish made it such a huge deal. Mommy had to go to Kevelaer and pray for a boy child, among other things. The pressure was immense and so unnecessary}

Zandi went to meet up with Sphiwe regarding the cleansing(s). It doesn’t look like Sphiwe is interested in doing it. He doesn’t even feel like MaRadebe was disrespected in any way. He was surprised that Zandi had gone to apologize in the first place.

Magaye’s girlfriend has an adult child that she’s hidden from Magaye all these years. *laughs in ufihla yonkinto*

The big secret is out!

Avoca hills seems like a place where omakhwapheni reside. 🤔{ I once had a situation where a girlfriend(now late) of my now ex-boyfriend from Avoca hills used to call and sms me at all hours of the day/night… I don’t miss that drama. There should be a special section in hell for men who put women in positions to be fighting each other for them.}

Back to the show, Samantha and Qondanisa: it turns out Samantha has moved in with her male friend and Qondanisa’s not happy at all with the situation.

Apparently this friendship has been an issue in their relationship for a while now. He tells Samantha that MaMchunu has never and would never do such a thing, beckoning the question, so why did you go looking for a second wife?

I’m skipping the Dulas scene on purpose. I can’t be wasting my words on that nonsensical situation.

This is my 2 cents worth!
